Electromagnetic Flow Meter Range From Endress+Hauser

Date Added: 21st January 2011

An electromagnetic flow meter is the ideal instrument for measuring any sort of conductive liquid, whether or not there are suspended solids present.  Endress+Hauser’s Promag line of meters provide top of the line performance in applications involving materials which include fruit juices and fruit pulp, acids and alkaline solutions, water, sludge and wastewater, pastes and slurries of all sorts. It’s suitable for use in the chemical production and processing sector, in pharmaceuticals, the food and beverage industry and even in mining!

The Promag line of electromagnetic flow meter instruments from Endress+Hauser are available in a choice of several different materials and liners for measuring tubes, as well as different types of process interfaces (including ANSI, AWWA, AS, JIS and DIN) to allow them to be used in nearly any application. This range of meters includes a variety of models for different uses, all of which boast Endress+Hauser’s characteristic accuracy, with all models falling within +/- .2 - .5% accuracy.

Models include the Promag W; this electromagnetic flow meter is designed for lines with diameters between 1-78” and is available with a hard rubber (HR) or polyurethane (PU) liner. The former is suitable for temperatures between 0 and 80 degrees Celsius (32 – 176 degrees Fahrenheit) and works well with water and fluids which are slightly abrasive. The latter is designed for any application which requires metering the flow of water.

Difficult fluids call for a robust flow meter; and that’s exactly where the Endress+Hauser Promag S excels.  Designed for paper pulp, fruit pulp, mining slurry and other traditionally problematic fluids, this electronic flow meter works with line diameters of 1/2 to 24”.  The Promag S includes pre-optimized linings and electrodes for temperatures of as high as 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).

Also in the Endress+Hauser Promag range of flow meters are the Promag H, a high performance low flow meter with stainless steel housing which is built to last and designed to meet the demands of the chemical processing and food and beverage industry. The Promag D electronic flow meter is ideal for use in drinking water or waste water applications and features compact sensors to save space. These are just some of the Promag flow meters which are assisting process engineers across a wide range of industries to ensure more efficient production and higher product quality – for virtually any application, the perfect flow meter bears the Endress+Hauser name.
