3M magnetic drive pumps from Pump Engineering are the ideal solution for all chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industry uses.

The horizontal, seal-less, peripheral pumps utilise a permanent magnet drive system with no mechanical seals. This makes them the best piece of equipment for pumping aggressive, explosive and toxic liquids, hydrocarbons, heat transfer liquids and liquids difficult to seal. The low flow and high heads are the main characteristic of this magnetic drive pump and the wide range of options covers different performances.

Constructed  using high quality casting components and utilising a self-balancing impeller to improve the wear ring life, the pumps are meticulously designed at every level. This means long-lasting equipment that is reliable and requires little input in terms of upgrades and repairs. Longevity is also boosted by the epoxy primer and polyacrylic enamel water-based painting which provides resistance to environmental impacts ,and the RWP Quick Change Cartridge Kit guarantees easy and fast maintenance when servicing is required.

The sealing system with flat gaskets prevents product from leaking in to the atmosphere and the rear shell can withstand higher pressure than other devices thanks to its single-piece construction which has no welding and an ellipsoidal profile.

Two versions of the 3M mag drive pumps are available - AISI 316 is the standard construction and Hastelloy C276 the option for high pressure use of up to 150BAR. Titanium alloy construction is available as an upgrade when higher pressure ratings and increased efficiency are required.

High power synchronous magnetic couplings feature in the pump, with rare earth magnetic elements mechanically locked. The high performance magnets can operate at liquid temperatures of up to 662 degrees F without the need for external cooling, further improving ease of use in any situation.

No special tools are required for field assembling of the product lubricate bearing arrangement, with four bearing material options for the best solutions in each application. These are; silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, carbon to allow a dry running situation and PTFEC/G for applications where carbon cannot be used. The inclusion of elastic rings reduces the sleeve bearing loads and thrust bearing loads to the minimum, again guaranteeing years of maintenance-free operation.
