Globe Valve Takes Control In Many Applications

Date Added: 4th May 2012

Badger Meter's Research Control Valve range from Pump Engineering features the best in compact precision control valves.

The globe valve products , angle, 3-way, sanitary and cryogenic valves are ideal for liquids, gases, steam or cryogenics, offering precise, accurate control in all applications and environments.

Among the product line are valves in sizes ¼" through to 3", ensuring equipment can be used in any situation, with multiple trim sizes per valve size, and most designs feature a replaceable seat and plug. The Research Control Valves operate at a temperature range of -450°F to +1800°F and at pressure of up to 60,000 psi, making them ideal for a wide range of industry applications.

Furthermore, the valves are available with pneumatic, manual and electronic actuators and can be made in custom designs with a full range  of options and accessories.

Type 807/752 standard globe control valve

The Badger Meter type 807/752 standard globe control valve is available in four sizes from ¼" to 1" and has a compact and lightweight design, making it ideal for modulating control of medium to low flow rates at pressures of up to 5,000 psi.

This globe valve is widely used in industrial applications, research settings and process pilot plants on liquid, gases or steam. It is well-suited for additive injection, sampling and low flow hydraulic systems and recommended for situations where precise control is vital or physical constraints limit valve weight or size.

Other benefits and features include; wide range of interchangeable trim sets, threaded bonnet for quick disassembly and an optional cooling fin bonnet for higher temperatures.

Badger Meter Research Control Valve range

As well as the globe valve, there are a further 15 control valves in the Badger Meter product line.

The range includes 3-way valves, ATO and ATC pinch valves, bellows sealed valves, cooling fin valves, cryogenic cold box valves and extension bonnet valves, as well as products for high pressure or sanitary-dependent environments.

As well as valves, there is also a wide choice of actuators, including pneumatic, manual and electric, and options for elements such as guiding styles and recovery factors.

Applications and uses of control valves

The many options and potential for customisation within the Badger Meter Research Control Valve range allows for use in a wide variety of industries and applications, always with precise control.

Control valves are ideal for situations where pH, gas and pressure control is vital and when using chemically aggressive or radioactive products. They are commonly used in situations involving flavourings and oils, to test engine parts, for MRI cooling and down well injection in oil wells.
